Tao Te Ching Chapter 1 in silver ink on black paper:

This is Tao Te Ching (Dao De Jing) Chapter 1 by Lao Tzu in running grass style handwritten in silver ink paint on thick blackpaper measuring approx 9" W x 12" H, with its own signed Certificate of Authenticity. I have also painted a pair of fish with the silver paint.

Here is the English translation:

English translation:
"The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth.
The named is the mother of ten thousand things.
Ever desireless, one can see the mystery.
Ever desiring, one can see the manifestations.
These two spring from the same source but differ in name;
this appears as darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gate to all mystery.."

The photo does not capture the reflective nature of the silver ink paint, and differs slightly from the actual item. Also it looks different under different lighting conditions.

Frame and matting not included. The easiest way to frame an irregular sized artwork is to use a float frame as shown. Simply insert the artwork between the two panes of glass with no matting or mounting necessary. You can buy them at Michaels, Walmart, etc .
