Suggested ways of displaying my art: It is best to have my art professionally mounted and framed, and is essential for large paintings.
Even though I ship my art fully protected, there might still be creases on the paper due to transit, or handling by customs. Also for ink painting, the paper might warp/crease as the ink dries. For best display, before inserting into a frame, the art needs to be mounted onto a backboard or backing paper in order to smooth out wrinkling or warping. This is best done professionally.
However, if you want to save cost and try DIY for smaller paintings, here are some suggested frames, and mounting advice:
Float Frames:
Here are some float frames which you can purchase directly from Amazon. They are perfect for framing irregular size artwork, and also economical since no matting or mounting service is needed. Simply insert the artwork between the two panes of glass or acrylic. I would suggest getting a bigger floating frame e.g. for 9 x 12" artwork, get 16 x 20" or bigger so more glass will show. If you have a colour wall or textured wall behind the frame, that will show through the glass, making it more interesting. If you want it to look clean and minimalist, then display on a white wall.

Mounting:
Framing and mounting is not included for your purchase, and when you receive my art, you will need to have it mounted onto backing paper or backboard for optimal display. It is best to have it professionally done.
My art is created on different materials:
1. Thin rice paper will wrinkle when the ink dries and is hardest to mount and you will require the help from professional framers who will first mount it onto a backing board or backing paper. Wet mounting is best for rice pape. If you want to DIY and save on cost, you can try securing it in a float frame and see if the two panes of glass will flatten it.However, due to the delicate nature of rice paper, I do not recommend you to try dry or wet mounting yourself as you might tear the painting in the process.
2. Mounted rice paper is already mounted on another piece of sturdier paper, so flatter and easier to frame. It can be displayed in a float frame which is best for irregular sizes.
3. Masa paper is thicker than rice paper, and can be displayed in a float frame. But with larger characters and painting with a lot of ink, the paper will appear wavy so for best effects, use professional framing service, especially for larger pieces. Wet mounting will have a better result than dry mounting. If you want to DIY, you can try mounting it on a backing first, especially when not using a float frame. Or lightly apply heat with a dry iron on the back to iron flat the paper.
4. Acid free 60 lb paper may wrinke a bit if there is a large amount of ink used. You can mount it on a backboard first. Or lightly apply heat with a dry iron on the back to iron flat the paper. For most calligraphy work, the paper remains flat and can be displayed without mounting, and best in a float frame.
5. Acid free watercolour paper 90lb and up usually will have fewer creases and will not warp as much as the ink dries. You can display it in a float frame or regular frame. However, large paintings still need to be professionally mounted to ensure there is no creasing or warping.
** Please note: Large paintings need to be professionally mounted and framed. Amateur handling will crease the paper no matter how thick it is.
**Roll Memory: Large paintings can only be rolled and shipped in a protective tube box. Paper, especially thick ones, will have roll memory. Not to worry, professional mounting will flatten it out. However if you want to DIY, I have found this video online which teaches you how to do it as an amateur:
