On it I have written the Chinese quote of "Being Sober while Everyone else is drunk"... This may be how you feel sometimes when nobody agrees with you , or even understand you. The Enso represents the way of Zen as a circle of emptiness and form, void and fullness. Drawn in one fluid, expressive stroke, the enso represents the state of mind of the artist . As the brush trails off into nothingness, leaving an open circle, it is also the acceptance of imperfection as it is. Hand painted with chinese ink on watercolor paper measuring 9x12" .
