About the artist:
華裔水墨畫家戴愛兒在香港出生與成長，八十年代隨家人移居加拿大, 離港前曾跟黎毓熙(林風眠與潘天壽之第子)習國畫。 唯移加後忙於學業與工作而疏於練習，直至多年後一次嚴重意外傷及頸椎，待在家中休養時重拾畫筆，才領略到水墨之玄妙。
戴愛兒的水墨畫簡約，清新，又帶點童心。她那中西融合的畫風正好反影她在加拿大與香港的生活體驗。她作畫隨心所欲，正如她做人之態度,
順其自然...逍遙自在...樂其在中。

戴愛兒獲邀成為國際中國書法國畫家協會( ICCPS)之創會成員。ICCPS總部設在日本東京,成員來自不同國家包括中國，日本，美國，加拿大，法國，比利時，荷蘭，德國，波蘭，西班牙，阿根廷，俄羅斯，克羅地亞和澳大利亞。
Oi Yee has been invited and inducted as a premiere member of the International Chinese Calligraphic Art and Ink Painters Society. This international sumi-e society is made up of artists with different backgrounds and styles from China, Japan, the United States, Canada, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Spain, Argentina, Russia, Croatia and Australia.

Oi Yee was a guest artist invited by the Art for Cancer Foundation to conduct art workshops aiming at helping those living with cancer, their families and caregivers.The Art for Cancer Foundation carried on its meaningful mission in Toronto for a decade until 2020.
